(Subfamily Myrmicinae)


The genus Mayriella was established under the tribe Meranoplini by Forel (1902), and was placed in the Carebara genus group of the tribe Solenopsidini by Bolton (2003). The genus was recently revised by Shattcuk & Barnett (2007).

One species has so far been found from Vietnam.

Other locality: Ba Be NP (Bac Can); Cuc Phuong NP (Ninh Binh); Phu Quoc NP (Kien Giang); Tay Yen Tu NP (Bac Giang); Van Ban (Lao Cai)


Nests of M. granulata are found in rotting twig, under stone and in the litter layer.
